I think the situation regarding our university education is not the same, because, none of my friends have ever taken a loan to paid their studies. Normally, parents help us to paid them, and if they din't have a schoolarship, they looked for a summer job.
ReplyDeleteI partly disagree with Tami, because nowadays things have changed in the Spanish sistem. Up to now you didn't need to take a loan because most of spanish students used to have a scolarship. But, now, it's very difficult to recieve a scholarship.
DeleteActually I don't know how the Spanish sistem is because I haven't been at the university, but in my opinion in every country the education cost has to be free. I mean books and tuition fees. If we have a good education sistem we will see reflected in our economy because many people would get the same oportunities to study and developing their ingenious to get more competitive and sucsesful companies and what is more important, to discover ourselves our personals values.
ReplyDeleteI think the university students situation is better in Spain than in UK,at least about money.Tuition fees are cheaper here,at the moment, and there are schoolarships for helping students to pay their fees. But things are changing because of the economic crisis and many universities are increasing their fees and the governement is decreasing the schoolarship availability.Apart from that, there is a feel of disappointment among the students who don´t expect to find a job according to their degree or even any other job.
ReplyDeleteIn Spain, parents help paying fees, paying the rent, the living expenses, etc... A lot of my friends and I, found a Summer or weekend job, too. Now, tuition is more expensive than before and increasing. At the same time, studentships are reducing.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, firstly Spanish companies are looking for people with University studies. Secondly, two or three work experience years. Then, it´s better if you have a Master. Many times the companies ask for a lot of things for a job and it´s really difficult find the first job and according to their degree.
Nowdays things are so bad in Spain cause of the economic crisis. Universities have increased their fees and tuitions as long as scholarships have been reduced. So students have more difficulties to study a degree at university.
ReplyDeleteThings are very similar in UK and in Spain. Like the lecture has said: 'Most British students expect to get a loan, part-time job or summer job' in Spain also the spanish students expect it to try to pay their degrees.
In my opinion univertity education in Spain is very expensive in spite of the tuition fees aren't as high as in other countries are. The scholarships exist but they are scant and short because of the crisis; and students loans are not common here, so the parents are who support the costs, or the concerned students, that work a part-time o during the week-end tu defray their studies. On the other hand, it is kown for everyone it is very difficult to find a job after university, and much less, a well paid job. This is a sad situation.
ReplyDeleteIt's very difficult to talk about perfect education, because each person think different thing about this. I think that we should value our degree because nowadays there are a lot of people who can't study. By the way, I think that the good student records should be rewarded because some people make a strong effort to pass the exams. Everybody should have the right to study but it's very important value it.
ReplyDeleteI think that our university education is better than in the UK. I don’t know anyone who has taken a loan to pay their studies. As well say my classmate Tami, normally, parents help us to paid them or we can have a scholarship or to find a summer job.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, due to the crisis our education system is suffering a backward step. Everything that has been achieved for many years and now, it seems we are living in the fifty years.
It’s a sensitive situation in which everybody should pay attention, especially our government, which must find the main measures to improve our education system.
