WED. 27TH FEB. LESSON + HOMEWORK

Yesterday we almost finished Unit 9A (we checked the writing on p. 79 and ex. 2), reviewed the form and use of the Passsive structure and practised SPEAKING by doing a questonnaire (p. 118+121) and playing a game to review vocabulary and passive sentences.

Then, we did ex. 5 (p.79) and watched a video about 'Devdas' a Bollywood film and did some listening exercises.

For Monday, please do ex. 6 p. 79 and p. 41 on the dossier of copies (Passsive).

MONDAY 25TH FEB. LESSON + HOMEWORK

Yesterday we started Unit 9A (p. 78-79) and did several speaking activities (including ex. 1- p. 78) reviewing vocabulary related to the topic.

We then checked and corrected the exam.

For WEDNESDAY, please read the grammar on p. 146 (The Passive) and do ex. 4 on p. 78 and read the text about The Oscars on p. 79.

LISTENING PRACTICE: If you want to listen and do exercises related to the topic MOVIES, click HERE to do a game (you have to guess the film after listening to the film review). There are many other listening exercises. Go to the main page, and search MOVIES and you have several listening exercises there.

WED. 13TH FEB. LESSON

Yesterday we .....
- started talking about the recent news (Pope's resignation, house's evictions, horsemeat in hamburguers, corruption etc.)
- we then checked doubts in the use of WISH (copy I gave you)
- after that, we practised WISH in present and past (SPEAKING p. 72- ex. 7)
- we then checked vocabulary related to MONEY (workbook Unit 8B)

Finally we did a review- LISTENING + SPEAKING.
I've just sent you the READING with the key by email to do it at home.

We finished watching a video about LOVE as today is SAINT VALENTINE!!! Enjoy it!!!

HOMEWORK FOR 25TH (after the exams):
Have a look at the previous post to check homework and add PORTFOLIO 9 (WORKBOOK P. 86-87)

MONDAY 11TH FEB. LESSONS + HOMEWORK

Hello everybody!!

Yesterday we:

- Reviewed the use of WISH + SIMPLE PAST and corrected ex. 5 (p. 71) 

- We did the SPEAKING ACTIVITY (dossier p. 20) to practise the structure once again

- We then moved onto Unit 8B (p. 72-73) and explained the use of WISH + PAST PERFECT (SHOULD+ HAVE+ PAST PARTICIPLE) to talk about regrets in the past. We read the text on p. 72 and did ex. 4+6+8.

For Wednesday, I'll send you a doc by email with more exercises with the key to practise the use of WISH for present and past regrets. We'll check doubts on Wednesday and we'll practise reading, listening and speaking.

If you want to practise grammar, vocabulary and reading, you can do this exercises in the WORKBOOK:

- UNIT 8- voc. + WISH- p. 44-45-46

- READING PRACTICE P. 47

- p. 48 ex. 3- review of relative clauses

WED. 6TH FEB. LESSON

Yesterday we started Unit 8A (p. 70-71) and talked about MONEY (voc. ex.1) and did the Listening (ex. 2) and explained the use of WISH / IF ONLY / IT'S(ABOUT) TIME....   

We then checked all exercises in Workbook Units (6 + 7)

Homework for next week:
- P. 71- ex 5 (grammar)

Try to do as many listening exercises as you can and if you want to send me any writing or speaking, feel free to do it ;O)))

MONDAY 4TH FEB. LESSON

Yesterday we practised Listening and Speaking.

We finished Unit 7D (Listening ex. 2 p. 66 + ex. 3 vocabulary).

We then moved onto Unit 7E and talked about mobile phones on the plane and the profession of flight attendant and did the listening on p. 68 (Unit 7E). After that, we practised intonation (p. 69 ex. 1+2+3) and we finished with a DIALOGUE PRACTICE about installing or not a mobile phone aerial on the roof.

HOMEWORK: READING ON P. 68- EX. 3A+3B. [I'll send you the exercise by email with the key for you to do it whenever you can]
